Compactor is important machine in Knit Finishing Process. Lot of technical works in fabrics will be taken care by Compacting Machine. Tubular Compactor is used to compact the fabrics in Tubular form.Tubular fabric shrinkage control machine which can compact the fabric in length wise direction, to provide over feed to the fabric while processing in presence of steam, and able to control the shrinkage. In other words, this is a process of compacting the fabric in length ways direction.
Upgrade the fabric hand feel and import a smooth, silky touch to the fabric. Compress the fabric and reduce its thickness. Improve the opacity of the fabric. Import different degree of luster to the fabric. Reduce the yarn slippage.
Open Width Compactor is suitable for open width knit fabrics to achieve exact dimensional stability and a soft feel. The machine generally consists of a feeding frame with centering device and driven scroll rollers, an equalizing stenter frame with overfeed roller and brush pinning arrangement.
The compaction station consists of a feed roll and slower turning retarding roll. A single shoe fitted into the nip forms the compaction zone. The shoe’s function is to present the fabric into the compaction zone. The feed roll overfeeds fabric into the compaction zone while the slower retard roll holds the fabric in the zone. If more shrinkage is required, then the retard roll speed is decreased. This will increase the compaction and reduce the length of shrinkage. Maximum compaction rates up to 25% are possible.
